2027 MUSE EVENT AWARDS
Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: October 16, 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the MUSE Event Awards and the use of its entry system and related services.
By creating an account, submitting an entry, or completing payment, entrants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and any applicable entry requirements published on the MUSE Event Awards website. Personal information is handled according to the Privacy Policy, which entrants acknowledge separately. The use of cookies and similar technologies is governed by the Cookie Policy and applicable cookie-preference controls.
01Organizer
The MUSE Event Awards is organized by the International Awards Associate Inc. (“IAA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
References to the “entrant” include the individual, organization, agency, company, team, or authorized representative submitting an entry.
02Eligibility
The MUSE Event Awards accepts eligible entries from individuals and organizations worldwide, including:
- Event and experience agencies
- Production and service companies
- Brands and corporate organizations
- Marketing and communications teams
- Technology providers
- Event professionals and specialist teams
- Venues and destinations
- Government, cultural, nonprofit, and industry organizations
- Clients or authorized representatives
- Other eligible participants within the event industry
Entrants must possess the legal authority and necessary permissions to submit the achievement and associated materials.
Individual entrants must be at least 18 years old or otherwise legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. A person submitting on behalf of an organization confirms that they are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms & Conditions.
03Eligibility Period
Eligible achievements must have been delivered, completed, launched, or active on or after January 1, 2024.
Recurring and ongoing achievements may be entered where relevant work occurred during the eligible period.
The organizer may request supporting information to confirm eligibility.
04Entry Requirements
Entrants are responsible for providing complete and accurate information, including:
- Selected category
- Entry title
- Entrant and organization information
- Client or commissioning organization, where applicable
- Country or region of entry
- Public entry description
- Confidential jury brief
- Supporting materials
- Relevant credits
- Required permissions and declarations
Entries and required written materials must be submitted in English. Images, PDF documents, videos, and links must comply with the file, duration, accessibility, and technical requirements published through the website and entry system.
Incomplete, inaccessible, inaccurate, or misleading submissions may affect eligibility or evaluation.
05Categories and Multiple Entries
Entrants should select the category that most accurately represents what they want the jury to evaluate.
The same achievement may be entered into multiple eligible categories. Each category submission:
- Requires a separate entry fee
- Is evaluated independently
- May require category-specific supporting information
- Does not guarantee the same result across categories
The MUSE Event Awards may recommend or make reasonable category adjustments where an entry has been submitted incorrectly. Any material change should be communicated to the entrant where practicable.
Proposed New Category submissions remain subject to review and approval.
Where necessary to preserve a meaningful and credible judging process, the organizer may rename, combine, divide, discontinue, or reassign a category before judging. Where practicable, affected entrants will be informed and offered the closest appropriate category. A reasonable category adjustment does not automatically entitle the entrant to a refund.
06Entry Fees and Administrative Fee
Entry fees are determined by the published fee schedule in effect when payment is completed successfully.
A one-time $30 annual administrative fee applies to the entrant’s first paid submission within the applicable competition year.
All amounts are displayed in the currency shown through the entry system. Entrants are responsible for applicable taxes, bank charges, currency-conversion costs, or third-party payment fees.
Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, prices displayed using the $ symbol are charged in United States dollars.
An entry is not officially submitted until payment has been completed successfully.
Where a payment is reversed, disputed, charged back, or otherwise remains unpaid, the organizer may suspend the affected entry, order, account, judging result, or winner benefit until payment has been resolved. Fraudulent or abusive payment disputes may result in account termination or disqualification.
07Refunds, Withdrawals and Credits
Unless otherwise required by applicable law:
- Unless otherwise required by applicable law, entry and administrative fees are non-refundable once payment has been completed successfully.
- Entries may not normally be withdrawn after judging has begun.
- Failure to complete an entry before the applicable deadline does not automatically entitle the entrant to a refund.
- Unused entry credits, promotional codes, or discounts have no cash value and may be subject to expiration or additional conditions.
- Entry and administrative fees are non-refundable once payment has been completed successfully.
- Withdrawal, failure to complete an entry, failure to provide accessible materials, or a decision not to participate after payment does not create an automatic right to a refund.
Requests involving exceptional circumstances may be considered at the organizer’s discretion but are not guaranteed.
08Entry Changes
Entrants may edit entry information and supporting materials until the published Final Extension Deadline, unless an earlier restriction is stated for a particular service or judging arrangement.
After the Final Extension Deadline, material changes to submitted entry information, jury briefs, categories, and supporting materials may be restricted because evaluation may have begun.
Designated non-evaluative information, including winner thumbnails, contributor credits, and certain publication details, may remain editable where permitted by the entry system.
Entrants remain responsible for reviewing the accuracy and completeness of all information before the editing period closes.
09Judging
Eligible entries are evaluated by appointed jurors according to the official MUSE Event Awards judging framework.
The five judging criteria are:
- Purpose & Relevance
- Strategy & Approach
- Execution & Quality
- Distinction & Excellence
- Results & Impact
Judging may be conducted on a blind basis wherever practicable. Identifying information may be disclosed where necessary to evaluate organizations, professionals, venues, destinations, technologies, or other entries whose identity is relevant to the category.
Criteria will be applied according to their relevance to the selected category.
The official recognition thresholds are:
- Platinum Winner: 85–100 points
- Gold Winner: 75–84 points
- Silver Winner: 65–74 points
Judging decisions are final. Recognition, individual comments, and score breakdowns are not guaranteed.
Entrants must not contact, pressure, reward, threaten, or otherwise attempt to influence a juror concerning an entry or judging outcome.
10MUSE Grand Distinctions
The MUSE Grand Distinctions are the highest recognition presented by the MUSE Event Awards. Only eligible Platinum-winning entries may be considered. Recipients are selected at the Grand Jury’s discretion according to the strongest overall standard demonstrated within the applicable award division.
Eligibility does not guarantee selection, and a Grand Distinction may be withheld when no eligible entry meets the required standard. The organizer may verify scores, eligibility, payment status, entry information, and category placement before confirming a MUSE Grand Distinction.
11Winner Recognition and Benefits
Winner benefits may vary according to the award level, competition year, and published benefits schedule.
Benefits may include:
- Digital winner certificates
- Official winner badges
- Online winner profiles
- Editorial or promotional exposure
- Inclusion in winner announcements
- Eligibility to order official statuettes or additional certificates
- Other published forms of recognition
Winning entrants may submit written interviews for editorial consideration on Muse.World. Selected winners may also be invited to submit video interviews or other editorial materials. Submission and publication are subject to editorial review and are not guaranteed.
Winners are not charged an acceptance fee. Physical statuettes, additional certificates, merchandise, shipping, customs duties, and applicable taxes are separate unless expressly included in a published Winner’s Package.
Unless expressly stated, physical awards, merchandise, shipping, duties, and taxes are not included in the entry fee.
The organizer may withhold or revoke winner benefits where eligibility, payment, ownership, or submission requirements have not been satisfied.
12Winner Statuettes, Certificates, and Store Orders
Official MUSE Event Awards merchandise, including statuettes and certificates, is available only to verified winners and their authorized representatives.
All store orders are subject to the following conditions:
- Available products, prices, specifications, and ordering periods may vary by competition year.
- Orders may be verified against the corresponding winning entry before production.
- Entrants are responsible for providing accurate personalization, billing, contact, and delivery information.
- Personalized information should be reviewed carefully before the order is confirmed.
- Changes or cancellations may not be possible after production has begun.
- Personalized products cannot normally be returned or exchanged unless they are damaged, defective, incorrect, or otherwise eligible for a remedy under applicable law.
- Product images are illustrative. Minor variations in color, finish, material, dimensions, or appearance may occur through production.
- Shipping charges, customs duties, import taxes, handling fees, and other destination charges are not included unless expressly stated during checkout.
- Production and delivery periods are estimates and may be affected by destination, customs processing, carrier operations, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
- Damaged, defective, or incorrect orders should be reported promptly using the published order-support contact. Photographs, packaging information, or other supporting evidence may be requested.
- Lost or delayed shipments may be subject to investigation by the appointed carrier before a replacement or other resolution is provided.
- Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method.
- Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The complete order total and applicable shipping charges will be displayed before payment.
Merchandise orders will enter production only after full payment, winner verification, and receipt of all required personalization information.
The applicable production estimate, delivery method, shipping charge, and claims procedure will be displayed during checkout or in the order confirmation.
Entrants are responsible for additional shipping or handling costs caused by an incomplete or incorrect delivery address, refusal of delivery, or failure to collect a shipment, except where the organizer or carrier is responsible for the error.
13Entrant Rights and Responsibilities
Entrants confirm that:
- They are authorized to submit the entry.
- Submitted information is accurate.
- Necessary client, employer, venue, participant, photographer, videographer, talent, music, trademark, and third-party permissions have been obtained.
- The entry does not knowingly infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, contractual, or other legal rights.
- Supporting claims and reported results can be substantiated where requested.
- Submitted materials do not contain unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, or inappropriate content.
- Where submitted materials identify or depict minors, the entrant has obtained any parent, guardian, or other permission required by applicable law.
- The entrant has a lawful basis to provide personal information contained in the entry, credits, images, video, testimonials, and supporting materials.
- Responsibility for the entry and its supporting materials remains with the entrant.
Entrant Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless International Awards Associate Inc., the MUSE Event Awards, and their officers, employees, representatives, jurors, and authorized service providers from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising from:
- The entrant’s breach of these Terms & Conditions;
- Submitted materials that infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, contractual, or other third-party rights;
- False, misleading, or unauthorized entry information;
- The entrant’s unlawful or improper use of the website, entry system, or winner materials.
This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from the organizer’s own unlawful conduct, fraud, or negligence where liability cannot legally be excluded.
14Intellectual Property and Promotional Rights
Entrants retain ownership of their submitted intellectual property.
Subject to Section 15 concerning private entries and confidential materials, entrants grant IAA and the MUSE Event Awards a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, format, crop, resize, excerpt, display, publish, distribute, and use submitted entry and winner materials for competition administration, judging, winner announcements, winner profiles, websites and digital platforms, editorial coverage, social media, marketing and promotion, publications, exhibitions, and historical or archival records.
IAA may permit authorized service providers and media partners to use the materials solely for these purposes. This license does not transfer ownership of the submitted materials or permit the organizer to materially misrepresent the entry.
The entrant must notify the organizer before submission if specific third-party restrictions affect permitted use.
The promotional and publication rights in this section do not override an approved private-entry selection or a confidential jury-only designation.
15Private Entries and Confidential Materials
Entrants may select the available privacy option during submission.
Where an entry is designated private, its public description and supporting materials will not be published or promoted. The winner record may display only the entry title, entrant or recipient, country or region, category, recognition level, and any thumbnail expressly permitted by the entrant through the entry system.
Confidential jury briefs and jury-only PDF documents will not be published as winner content.
The organizer will take reasonable measures to protect confidential entry materials but cannot guarantee absolute security for information transmitted or stored online.
16Disqualification and Revocation
The MUSE Event Awards may reject, remove, disqualify, or revoke recognition where an entry involves:
- False or misleading information
- Ineligibility
- Unverified or materially inaccurate claims
- Intellectual-property infringement
- Unauthorized submission
- Manipulation, fraud, or misconduct
- Nonpayment or reversed payment
- Breach of confidentiality
- Attempts to improperly influence jurors
- Violation of these Terms & Conditions
Where appropriate, the organizer may request clarification before making a final determination.
The organizer may suspend or terminate an account where it is associated with fraudulent activity, repeated submission of false information, payment abuse, unauthorized system access, attempts to interfere with judging, or material violations of these Terms & Conditions. Suspension or termination does not automatically create a right to a refund.
Where recognition is revoked, the entrant must cease using the affected winner title, badge, certificate, and promotional claims. The organizer may remove the winner profile and related announcements and may cancel unfulfilled winner orders, subject to applicable law and any production costs already incurred.
17Website and Entry-System Availability
The organizer will take reasonable steps to maintain the website and entry system but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
Entrants are responsible for:
- Submitting before the applicable deadline
- Maintaining copies of submitted materials
- Using accessible and functional links
- Confirming that uploads have been saved
- Maintaining accurate account and contact information
The organizer is not responsible for delays or losses caused by internet failures, third-party services, incompatible files, user errors, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
The organizer may extend a deadline following a material system failure but is not required to do so where entrants had a reasonable opportunity to submit beforehand.
18Competition Changes and Cancellation
The MUSE Event Awards may reasonably modify dates, deadlines, judging arrangements, categories, juror assignments, benefits, or competition procedures where operationally necessary.
If circumstances beyond reasonable control materially affect the competition, the organizer may postpone, modify, suspend, or cancel part or all of the program.
Material changes will be communicated through the website or entrant account where practicable.
19Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IAA and the MUSE Event Awards will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from participation, website use, judging outcomes, publication, technical interruption, or third-party services.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of International Awards Associate Inc. and the MUSE Event Awards arising from an affected entry, transaction, or service shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the entrant for that affected entry, order, or service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
20Privacy and Cookies
Personal information is handled according to the MUSE Event Awards Privacy Policy.
The website’s use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in the Cookie Policy. Where required, visitors may manage non-essential cookies through the website’s cookie-preference controls.
21Amendments
These Terms & Conditions may be updated to reflect changes in competition operations, services, technology, or applicable requirements.
The version in effect when payment for an entry is completed will ordinarily govern that entry. The version in effect when payment for a store order is completed will ordinarily govern that order, unless a change is required by law or is reasonably necessary to administer the competition or transaction fairly.
22Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms & Conditions and any dispute arising from or relating to the MUSE Event Awards, its website, entry system, or related services shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of Malaysia.
Before commencing formal proceedings, a party should provide written notice of the dispute and allow the other party a reasonable opportunity to attempt resolution in good faith, except where urgent or protective relief is required.
Subject to any mandatory rights available under applicable law, entrants agree that the courts of Malaysia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms & Conditions or participation in the MUSE Event Awards.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

24Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, applicable checkout conditions, and any competition or store requirements expressly incorporated by reference constitute the agreement between the entrant and the organizer concerning participation and related purchases. 25Severability
If any provision is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. The affected provision will be interpreted or modified only to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
26No Waiver
A failure or delay in enforcing any provision does not waive the right to enforce that or another provision later.
27Assignment
Entrants may not transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written approval. The organizer may assign its rights and obligations as part of a merger, restructuring, transfer of operations, or similar business transaction.
28Official Language
The official language of the competition and these Terms & Conditions is English. Where a translation is provided, the English version will prevail to the extent permitted by applicable law.
